Networking Guide

IA Networking Guide (PDF)
We have created a networking guide to help people interested in the field of IA and IAI members answer questions about...

  • Who's an IA?
  • What's behind local groups?
  • How do IAs network and collaborate?
  • What initiatives are currently running?
  • How can I join in the initiatives?
  • What's the workflow of the translation initiative for example?
  • How do existing Tools and platforms support me in network and collaboration?

Find a Network

In addition to our IA Institute supported Local Groups, we have compiled a list of over 1000 active information architecture, information science and user experience groups all over the globe. Our list contains organizations in which IAI members claim membership; however it is neither exhaustive, nor is any specific group recommended over any other in particular. Our list demonstrates the breadth of knowledge of our membership and their reach among related disciplines. Perhaps there is a group near you.

You also can find us at many Social Networks online. Our growing participation reaches people with an interest in Information Architecture worldwide. We participate in the following networks:

IA Institute meeting announcements and open discussion board are available on Facebook.

If you are a member of the IA Institute, to receive an invitation to the IA Institute group on LinkedIn, contact membership@iainstitute.org. If you are not a member, considering joining us today!

On tag-based sites like Flickr , Slideshare and del.icio.us , we prefer to use the tag "iainstitute" to distinguish our organization from other IAIs, although you may find us tagged as "ia institute" or "iai".
